Let’s talk
a little about HSE

WHAT
IS HSE?
Health, safety and environment (HSE) refers to
a branch, or department, within a company that is responsible for the
observance and protection of occupational health and safety rules and
regulations along with environmental protection. Health, safety and environment
(HSE) is also often referred to as environmental health and safety (EHS) or
safety, health and environment (SHE).
WHAT
YOU NEED TO KNOW ABOUT HSE.
Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) is a general term for
regulations, methods and processes designed to help protect workers, the
environment and the public from harm. The methods and processes in HSE are
learned through training and re-training of those exposed to hazards.
The Factories Act of 1987 and the cap 126 in 1990 and the
factories act of 2004 by the Federal Government of Nigeria makes it compulsory
for employers to provide a safe workplace for their employees.
A safe work environment – without hazards and accidents – can be
achieved through effective implementation of company-wide health and safety
(HSE) management system. Thus training and re-training personnel on the global
best practice in health and safety cannot be ignored.
WHY
SHOULD I REGISTER FOR HSE TRAINNG?
You should definitely get trained and certified in HSE as a basic
requirement by law for employers of labor. You automatically become an asset to
your organization and it brightens your prospects within the organization. Plus,
an HSE training and certification may be the missing link to finding your next

There are various specializations in the field of health and
safety but the general
HSE(Level 1&2) training Course is a good place to start. Thereafter you
should proceed to HSE 3 course.
