DEPARTMENT OF PETROLEUM RESOURCES (DPR) PARTNER WITH COLLEGE OF OIL AND GAS EXPLORATION TECHNOLOGY NIGERIA.

College of Oil and Gas Exploration Technology Nigeria (COGETN) at courtesy visit to the Director/Chief Executive Officer CEO, Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR). The courtesy call visit took place on Friday 7th May 2021, where management team of College of Oil and Gas Exploration Technology Nigeria at their headquarters Utako, Abuja, the team were well received, and accorded with safety measures mechanism by Mr. Mohammed I. Z and his team, he introduced himself before the commencement of the meeting

 Engr. Nwankwo O.K remarked on safety measures anthem of DPR.

 The meeting started at about 11:23am with an introduction by

Chairman, College of Oil and Gas Exploration Technology Nigeria (COGETN)

Dr. (Amb). Okocha Morgan, the chairman of College of Oil and Gas Exploration Technology Nigeria (COGETN) after which he gave a remark by telling the management of Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) about the instant law of the College that as a main oil and gas Regulator in Nigeria the College cannot survive without their partnership, most especially Oil and Gas Industries Service Permit (OGISP).

Mr. Okpale E.A

The representative of the Director Mr. Okpale E.A responded by stating that College of Oil and Gas Exploration Technology Nigeria is a household name that the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) need to partner with by embracing the College and providing the institute with the best international best practice, in the oil and gas sector. He further requested the management team to go online to create a portal for OGISP to enable the college obtain a permit and be recognize in the oil and gas sector, especially in the training and certification of members.

In conclusion, Mr. Okpale E.A who represented the Director of HSE at DPR took time to explain the benefits which the institute stand to benefit in the area of issuance of license, certificate of staff who intend to work in oil and gas sector.
